The Brief:
New turning circle required for HGV manoeuvrability
Advanced Supply Chain needed a reinforced concrete turning circle at their Corby site to improve lorry movements and reduce surface wear in a high-traffic area.
Our Approach:
Excavation, sub-base, and reinforced concrete installation
The objective was to improve HGV manoeuvrability and reduce wear and tear on existing surfacing in a high-traffic area.
To ensure safety and maintain operational flow, the work area was securely barriered off. Our team carried out excavation to the required depth, followed by sub-base preparation and formwork installation. We then poured and finished a high-strength concrete slab, suitable for regular HGV use, with the necessary curing time factored into the programme.
All works were delivered in accordance with site-specific health and safety protocols and with minimal disruption to daily operations.
The Outcome:
Durable surface improving traffic flow and reducing wear
The new turning circle provides a durable, low-maintenance surface that improves vehicle movement efficiency on site. The project was completed on time, to specification, and with a clean finish that met the client’s operational and safety requirements.
